Finance Officer
The Finance Officer at Guardian Group Fatum is responsible for executing all financial transactions and related internal controls in a complete, timely and accurate manner. And be able to realize up-to-date and reliable accounting activities, that are in line with applicable financial internal and external rules and regulations and finance and control policies. In addition, the Finance Officer is responsible for analyzing and collating all financial data regarding the performance of Guardian Group Fatum, cost allocation, investment performance, provisions, and reinsurance. Also, prepare standard and custom reports, in line with applicable internal and external rules and regulations, to provide stakeholders with correct and timely information concerning (financial) performance of the organization.
What are you going to do?
- Assure correct and reliable data in the financial administration and ledgers
- Collect, assess, check, code and process mutations/data and liquid assets in assigned financial administration(s), including booking reconciliation, manage these administrations and contribute to the month-end closing
- Check data within the assigned administration(s) and/or data/sub administrations supplied by internal parties, identify and correct errors and omissions
- Import and review/monitor transactions in the general and subsidiary ledgers
- Coordinate and execute the registration of liabilities and expenses, check, process and ensure authorization and verification of invoices
- Register and analyse receivables, payment bookings and restitutions and actively monitor debtor positions
- Administer relevant collection data, bookings, and corrections (and prepare subpoenas), and maintain overview of the own portfolio and escalate cases to the relevant internal departments
- File, archive and review financial documents and ensure proper filing and retrieval of information, in line with financial guidelines and legal requirements
- Collect, review, and administrate bank statements, transaction files and liquidity information, as well as ensure the exchange information regarding transactions, bank balances and liquidity position between the different departments
What do we expect from you?
- Minimum associate degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (MBO-4 E.P.I. Economics)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Accountant or Finance Officer
- General knowledge of accounting practices and principles
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable processing and review and general ledger
- Proficient in Excel and experience with other accounting software
- Good communication and reporting skills
