Structural Modeler is responsible for developing detailed 3D structural models and drawings using BIM software for building and infrastructure projects. The role includes modeling reinforced concrete and steel structures, preparing shop drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring compliance with project BIM standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
- Model structural elements including foundations (isolated, raft, pile caps), columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, structural steel frames, staircases, and ramps.
- Prepare structural GA drawings, reinforcement detailing drawings, sections and details, and shop drawings when required.
- Coordinate with architectural and MEP models to resolve clashes.
- Participate in model coordination meetings.
- Ensure modeling complies with required LOD standards (LOD 300/350/400).
- Extract quantities and schedules from the model.
- Update models based on design revisions.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil or Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in structural modeling.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Revit Structure.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of reinforcement detailing principles and structural steel modeling.
- Familiarity with clash detection tools such as Navisworks is preferred.
- Understanding of structural drawings and construction methodology.
- Knowledge of international codes such as ACI, BS, or Eurocode is an advantage.
- GCC project experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively within a team.
