About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader to oversee the financial operations and performance of a portfolio of hotels within the Caribbean region. Based in Aruba, this role offers a unique opportunity to partner closely with hotel leadership and ownership groups while driving financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term business strategy across multiple properties.
The Director of Finance will play a critical role in supporting profitability, optimizing business performance, leading finance teams, and ensuring strong financial governance across the assigned portfolio. This position is ideal for a finance professional with strong hospitality experience who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-property environment with regional exposure and executive-level visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning processes for a portfolio of hotel properties.
Partner closely with hotel leadership teams and ownership groups to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
Analyze financial results, identify trends and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve business performance.
Oversee hotel accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and compliance processes across the assigned portfolio.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, SOX requirements, and hotel accounting standards.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, and capital expenditure planning to maximize financial performance and returns.
Support and lead finance-related initiatives, process improvements, and operational standardization efforts across the region.
Lead, coach, and develop finance and accounting teams while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
Act as a trusted business partner to hotel leadership by providing strategic financial guidance and operational support.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
6–10 years of progressive experience in hospitality finance, accounting, financial planning, or hotel operations finance.
Previous experience as a Hotel Controller or in a senior finance leadership role within the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of hotel financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and financial analysis.
Experience managing multi-property or regional hotel finance operations preferred.
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and SOX compliance standards.
Strong leadership and people management experience with the ability to coach and develop teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or similar platforms preferred.
CPA certification preferred.
Bilingual English and Spanish required.
Ability to travel up to 40%.
